About Us

We are a group of 20-something recent graduates, out in the real world in New York City…and we like to read. We have different backgrounds and different interests—characteristics that will hopefully be reflected in our reviews. We can never find the time to commit to a book club, but maybe we can commit to a blog.

Kari is an NYU graduate with blood that runs Tennessee orange. At the age of ten, her mother observed her straightening books on the shelves at a local Barnes & Noble and said, “Maybe you should be a librarian.” After a three-year stint at her neighborhood public library prior to college, she now works in marketing at a small children’s educational publisher that supplies the books she used to shelve. When she’s not surrounded by books, you can find her hunting down the best fountain Coke in the city, taking advantage of free events, and exploring neighborhoods on her bike. She lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Salvatore currently works in publishing and also writes book reviews for other publications. Enjoying literary fiction and non-fiction, he lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn with a view of the highway. Outside of reading he dabbles in the culinary arts (especially baking, with a blue ribbon in this field), blasts classical music over said highway’s noise, and wins best dressed at a certain NYC pub trivia on Wednesdays.

Colin deals in words. He works at a literary agency representing playwrights and passes time writing screenplays. Colin likes history because it’s full of bunk, but dislikes memoirs because they seem self-indulgent. He is a Trivial Pursuit aficionado, cyclist extraordinaire and general proponent of “Green Awareness.” Colin hits the hay in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
